March 29-March 31: The Great Thoresby Easter Egg Hunt / Eventing Spring Carnival, Thoresby Park

The hunt itself will take you around the grounds of Thoresby Park, and take in all aspects of our world class equestrian event, the prestigiou­s Lycetts Grantham Cup, where elite riders compete for British Eventing’s prized trophy.

Alternativ­ely there is a whole variety of entertainm­ent over the Easter Bank Holiday period; from dog shows and classic car displays to delightful kids’ activities, including circus performers and a bouncy castle. End the day on a high note with Easter lunch at Mrs B’s Bistro, offering stunning views of the main arena. Located just a short drive from Ollerton, Nottingham­shire.

Tickets: £10 per adult on Friday, £20 on Saturday and Sunday. Easter Sunday Family Fun Bundle (two adult admissions, one car parking ticket and two Easter Egg Hunt tickets): £15. Easter Egg Hunt tickets £2 each. Open: 8am-5pm.

March 29: Leigh Francis - My First Time Tour, Theatre Royal and Concert Hall

Comedian Leigh Francis is perhaps better known as Keith Lemon, or his several alter egos from the noughties sketch show Bo’ Selecta! Now he is taking his iconic characters on the road on an 18-date tour for the first time ever. Joining Leigh will be his favourite characters, all brought to life in a live environmen­t for the very first time ever. From Keith Lemon, Bear and Avid Merrion, ‘David Dickinson’, ‘Ant and Dec’ and Myrtle, this tour will be packed full of hilarious sketches.

March 28 - March 31: Bustler Market, Avenue E, Freckingha­m

Street, NG1 1DW

Bustler Market is gearing up for an electrifyi­ng weekend in the city, promising a fusion of top-notch UK street cuisine including Korean and Jamaican stalls, an array of beverages ranging from craft beer to cocktails, vibrant DJ sets, and an atmosphere that exudes quality.

A Boozy Bottomless is every Saturday and Sunday at 12.30pm 3.30pm. Cost: £25.00 per head.

March 29: The Hives, Rock City

The Hives are a Swedish rock band known for their high-energy performanc­es and garage rock sound. Formed in 1993, those around the age of 30 will almost definitely remember the hit ‘Hate to Say I Told You So’.

With their distinctiv­e black-andwhite attire and charismati­c frontman Howlin’ Pelle Almqvist, The Hives have built a reputation for their infectious punk-inspired anthems and frenetic live shows.

Tickets cost £35. Doors: 6.30pm

March 29: The Gaybourhoo­d Events – Neon Party, New Foresters LGBT

Promising a wild night of neon and pole dancers, the doors of The New Foresters will be thrown open for the Midlands’ biggest lesbian event. The event will consist of a neon theme: using UV lighting, paint, clothing and anything brightly coloured. The venue actively encourages those joining to get involved with the neon vibe.

March 31-April 1: Secret Garden Rave, Nottingham Secret Garden, Trinity Walk

Lemonade Bangs returns to Nottingham Secret Garden for a crazy rave after countless sold out shows over the past 12 months. Expect a massive crowd of 400-plus ravers and a night to remember. The team have put together a strong line-up of local and upcoming talent who’ll be providing all the best house, disco and minimal beats to take you all through the night and into the wee hours.

April 3-April 7: Nottingham Internatio­nal Market, Old Market Square

Stalls at this the award-winning internatio­nal market will include fresh food, treats and quirky crafts from a selection of different countries across Europe and beyond, including Spain, Lithuania, Tunisia, Turkey, Morocco, Ecuador and France. Plus, there will be sweet treats such as crepes, waffles, galettes, and homemade New York cheesecake.

You’ll find a fantastic selection of crafts and unique gifts: thuya wood, bonsai trees, handmade signs, unique amber trees and candles plus a great range of fashion, accessorie­s handmade jewellery and more. Opening hours: 10am-7pm.
