PLAYER RATINGS

-

MATZ SELS:

Needed more help from his defence for the opener. Made a couple of good saves to keep out Eze, though, and ensure Forest stayed in the game. Rating: 7.5/10

NECO WILLIAMS:

Got plenty of support from the crowd as he looked to put his Wales disappointment behind him. Did his best to get back after his pass was picked up on for the opener but it was always going to be a stretch. Rating: 6.5/10

FELIPE:

The veteran centre-back was a bit shaky at times in the first half and was caught out for Palace’s goal. He then had to be careful when he picked up a booking after the break. Rating: 5/10

MURILLO:

Brazilian can generally be relied upon to pick a pass and use the ball well, though. Rating: 6.5/10

OLA AINA:

A boost for the Reds to have him available again after injury – particularly if he can find the kind of form he showed earlier in the season. Rating: 6.5/10

RYAN YATES:

Balance in the centre of the pitch wasn’t there in the first 45 minutes. Second half was much better all round and the skipper battled away. Rating: 6/10

IBRAHIM SANGARE:

Said much about the midfielder’s first half performance that he was hooked at half-time. Contributed little other than an off-target shot. Rating: 5/10

DIVOCK ORIGI:

Can’t fault the positivity from the AC Milan loanee but the end product just wasn’t there. Needed to make more of the good positions he got himself into. Rating: 5/10

MORGAN GIBBS-WHITE:

Could a deeper role be the way forward for the 24-year-old? Was excellent in that position in the second half, including weighing in with a lovely assist. Rating: 7.5/10

CALLUM HUDSON-ODOI:

One of the few bright spots in the first half, then pushed on again after the break. Wasn’t too far away from getting on the scoresheet. Rating: 7.5/10

CHRIS WOOD:

Showed wonderful technique for an exquisite header with his back to goal to make it two goals in two games. Could have done with more service, especially in the first half. Rating: 7.5/10
