David reading at Notts school
TV STAR AND CHILDREN’S AUTHOR WALLIAMS STOPS OFF WITH HIS NEW COMIC TALE
DAVID Walliams is set to perform at a Nottinghamshire school .
The star will be performing a reading from his latest comic book series before playing four shows at the Theatre Royal in June.
The comic, originally known for his partnership with Matt Lucas in Little Britain, is now one of Britain’s best-selling children’s authors.
He will perform a reading at The Minster School, in Southwell.
The 52-year-old former Britain’s Got Talent judge will visit the school on Saturday, June 8, and perform humorous readings from his first comic book, Astrochimp.
The Bookcase, a partner of the event, reads: “Join David Walliams to celebrate the publication of his first ever comic book adventure Astrochimp in a one-hour spectacular.
“The event will include hilarious performative readings and a chance to get your questions answered live on stage.
“It’s fun for all the family.”
Less than two weeks later, his hit novel Awful Auntie will be brought to the stage at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal.
From Thursday, June 20, to Sunday, June 23, Birmingham Stage Company will follow up their acclaimed presentations of Walliams’ Gangsta Granny, Billionaire Boy and Demon Dentist with Awful Auntie.
“When Stella sets off to visit London with her parents, she has no idea her life is in danger.
“When Stella wakes up three months later, only her Aunt Alberta can tell her what has happened.
“But not everything Alberta tells her turns out to be true and Stella quickly discovers she’s in for the fight of her life against her very own awful Auntie.”
