All change for bus passengers

SERVICES DIVERTED WHILE RECENTLY REVAMPED STATION IS RESURFACED

BULWELL’S bus station will temporaril­y close for works to take place on the site less than a year after a major revamp.

Nottingham City Transport says temporary bus stops will be used during the closure, lasting until Friday.

Outlining the reason for the closure, NCT said: “This is to allow Nottingham City Council to undertake some surfacing works, as well as sorting out other snagging issues.

“Buses which normally use Bulwell Bus Station won’t have any changes to their timetables, but will use temporary stops.”

Passengers also had to use temporary stops last year, when the station was closed from January until May for a major revamp. Work, funded by the Department of Transport, included new shelters and canopies, new benches and improved walkways. behaviour issues. The operator was having to divert services from Bulwell Bus Station due to reported issues including drivers being abused and people hanging off the back of buses. NCT eventually said it would not be serving the bus station whenever a particular group of young people were there.

A number of NCT buses stop at Bulwell Bus Station, near Main Street, including the brown line, 17, the orange line, 35, the yellow line 70 and the light blue line, 79.

Below are the temporary stops each service will use during the Bulwell Bus Station Closure:

17 (City) - High Road, opposite Spot On; 35 (City) High Road, outside BCI Snooker Centre; 68, 69 (City) Bulwell Market; 68, 69 (Snape Wood) Main Street, alongside River Leen; 70, 71 (City) High Road, outside Spot On; 70, 71 (Morrisons) High Road, opposite Spot On; 79, 79A (City) High Road, outside Spot On; 79, 79A (Rise Park and Arnold) High Road, opposite Spot On.
