Oh, Body Hell!
These I’m A Celeb stars open up about getting into swimwear in front of the nation
Stripping off on national TV would surely be a nerveracking experience for the best of us, but for Anne, being confident in swimwear on-screen is just another challenge for the star, who has already broken down and tearfully admitted, ‘I’m close to saying I can’t do this.’ When asked how she had prepared to take on the jungle showers, The Chase Governess, 60, revealed that she had come well-armed.
‘I’ve been asked to bring three swimming costumes, so I’m afraid I’ve brought three sensible ones,’ she said. ‘We’re not talking Victoria bloomers, but people won’t see as much as they might like. They’ll have to put up with the disappointment!’
One celeb who’s absolutely dreading getting her kit off in front of the cameras is Coronation Street actress Sair, as she admitted she ‘carb loaded’ in preparation for her stint in the jungle (a pretty wise choice, we reckon).
When quizzed on whether she would be the one to recreate Myleene Klass’ famous white bikini moment this series, the 30-year-old replied, ‘That’s one thing I’m really dreading. I’m not one of those people who are like, “Oh my God, this is my bikini moment” at all. You won’t be seeing me in a bikini for the first few weeks, I’m sure – if I make it that far!’
Fans have been eagerly waiting to see Emily hit the jungle showers since she landed in camp, but according to The Inbetweeners star, her body shape has changed a lot since she first graced our screens as Charlotte Hinchliffe in 2008.
The actress, 28, apologised ahead of her big jungle appearance, saying, ‘It’s quite funny as everyone always thinks when you’re in your
20s and you go on this show, people are waiting to see you in your bikini.
‘I can only apologise, but I just don’t look how I did five years ago.’ Still, Emily has come well prepared. ‘I’ve packed six very nice swimming cossies and bikinis, which will hopefully be suited to my body shape, which is curvy and bouncy,’ she revealed.
In complete contrast to her jungle pals, Fleur has reportedly been ‘starving herself’ ahead of the show to best prepare for the basic rations in camp.
‘I’ve been having breakfast and just water throughout the day, or no breakfast, a light lunch and dinner in the evening,’ she revealed.
But not to worry, as the singer, 31, insists she sought help from the show’s trusted medic, Bob, to get her body ready for the extreme diet.
‘I met Medic Bob and he advised we should do that to get our stomachs ready,’ she explained.
