Jude is set to wed ecoconsultant Philippa Coan next month while Sadie is now dating communications boss Darren Strowger, 52. Darren joined her on a recent yoga excursion to India along with her mum and her longtime friend Kate Moss.

Sadie is also an ambassador to Young LDN, a new west London salon offering holistic beauty treatments for all ages, especially teens and young adults. Here, she talks about her kids flying the nest, her stress-busting routine and why her relationship works for her…

How was your recent yoga trip to India?

I love India and I try to go once a year and combine it with work. I’m doing a film project in Mumbai so I met with directors there. We also visited Rishikesh and Goa.

Your partner Darren went with you. Is he really into yoga too? Definitely. I introduced it to him

and he quite likes it. I think he’s been converted. He’s very holistic as well.

Is it important to be with someone who shares the same beliefs as you?

Yes. You want to complement one another. It’s nice to both be into exercising or hiking in the Cotswolds. It seems to work very well.

Do you really do yoga at 5am?

I do get up very early. It’s not excessive, it’s just because 10pm is my favourite time to go to bed. I try to do 20 minutes a day combined with two one-hour sessions every week. It’s very important to me. I also like Pilates and swimming.

And you do meditation too? Yes. At different stages in my life I’ve found meditating very frustrating and challenging. But in the last five years I’ve really enjoyed it, especially the vipassana, which is a technique Buddhist monks use.

Does it rid you of anxiety?

Oh, no! We all have lots of stresses, whether financial, work or physical. With meditation I can manage things better. As I’ve got older I just want to calm my mind. It helps you through daily life with work, four kids and living in a city.

Will you feel lonely when your children have all left home? No. I’ve had amazing times being a mother. When my youngest leaves it’ll have been over 30 years! Now it’s time for me. I’m embracing it. to go with their friends to treat their skin. The salon offers a holistic approach. I visit with my own children.

Have they suffered from any skin problems?

Nothing out of the ordinary. My children are all quite confident, open and willing to discuss things so it’s not anything that’s affected their confidence.

You first visited the salon this year suffering from ‘January stress’ – what happened?

It was just from being busy. It’s always good to find time for yourself. I try to do one thing, like a facial or massage, once a month. Young LDN do a great LED light therapy with a quick peel.

You look great for 53 – what age do you feel?

I can’t put a number on it. I was brought up a vegetarian and I’m always eating fresh vegetables, salad and quinoa. I feel good – energised and sprightly – and that’s the main thing.
