A TRIP TO THE MIDDLE EAST FOR VICTORIA BECKHAM
FORMER SPICE GIRL VICTORIA BECKHAM SHOWCASES HER OWN DESIGNS ON TRIP TO JUDGE ARABIA FASHION AWARDS
Victoria Beckham brought some serious sartorial flair to the Middle East last week as she attended the Fashion Trust Arabia Awards in Qatar. She was one of the judges at the event which supports designers in the Middle East and North Africa.
The former Spice Girl proved she’s firm friends with Naomi Campbell at the event, uploading a photo to Instagram of the two of them posing together. While the 48-year-old supermodel looked gorgeous in a yellow, ruffled Valentino couture gown, Victoria, 44, gave her black suit a feminine touch with the addition of a pink blouse from her eponymous fashion collection.
The pair weren’t always so close and even reportedly fell out at the height of Victoria’s Spice Girls fame. Naomi is said to have asked her at a party: ‘So why exactly do they call you Posh?’ to which the singer reportedly responded: ‘So why exactly do they call you beautiful?’ Victoria later said of Naomi: ‘She’s a lot better now. Probably because she’s had anger management.’
Supermodel Jourdan Dunn was also at the event looking lovely in a yellow dress from Ashi studio.
The following morning, Victoria attended a meet and greet at department store Galeries Lafayette Doha. It was all change as she opted for a much softer look; a ruffled floral maxi skirt and matching blouse from her own label’s spring summer ‘19 collection.
Earlier in the week, Victoria had taken her place on the panel to pick out the 25 deserving winners of the Fashion Trust Arabia Awards. Wearing a simple Victoria Beckham black top and
asymmetrical midi skirt, she finished off her look with her own-brand open-toed boots.
During her whistle-stop trip, Victoria also joined actor Johnny Depp at the official opening of the new Jean Nouvel designed Qatar National Museum in Doha. Themum-of-four looked spot on in cream polka dots from her own label with gold accessories and hot pink shoes adding a pop of colour to her otherwise neutral outfit.
