CHLOE SIMS CONFIRMS HER ROMANCE WITH TOWIE CO-STAR DAN EDGAR
‘TOWIE’ STAR CHLOE SIMS SAYS ROMANCE WITH DAN EDGAR IS MORE THAN JUST A FLING
As the new series of TOWIE returns to our screens, there’s one unlikely coupling everyone is talking about – Dan Edgar and Chloe Sims.
As OK! partied with the stars at the programme’s launch event, held at Chigwell restaurant Sheesh, Chloe, 36, and Dan, 28, proved their relationship wasn’t just a holiday romance. They put on a cosy display over Turkish kebabs and tequila rose shots and during the glamorous evening, Chloe revealed, ‘Me and Dan are making a go of it. We have grown close over four years of friendship. We’re just spending time together.’ She continued, ‘The idea that it was a holiday fling in Thailand made it sound cheap! I am not a fling type of girl. I wouldn’t cry my eyes out about a fling.’
Chloe became emotional while discussing their
fledgling relationship with James Bennewith (Diags), revealing her cousin and Dan’s close friend Joey Essex’s disapproval. ‘Joey was one of the first people I spoke to. I get that he feels a certain way about it, but I wouldn’t stand in the way of someone’s happiness,’ she said. The new couple are not planning on letting others or the ‘TOWIE curse’ influence their future, however. ‘We are not going to put any pressure on ourselves.
I just want to protect what we have going on and still be able to share it with the viewers.ultimately he is my friend before anything, and we have decided we are just going to take things very slow and see what happens,’ Chloe continued.
Dan is often portrayed as a commitment phobe. He previously dated Kate Wright, now happily engaged to Rio Ferdinand, and most recently was in a relationship with Amber Turner. Meanwhile, Chloe has dated lots of her co-stars including Liam Gatsby and Adam Oukhellou, but is notoriously picky when it comes to settling down. She seems to be particularly taken with new man Dan, however. ‘He is like a walking god, isn’t he?’ she said. ‘Obviously he gets loads of girls when he is single and that’s fine. Who wouldn’t fall in love with Dan Edgar?’ Good question, Chloe…
