WHAT IS IT?
An unashamedly camp bar in the heart of London’s Covent Garden, which provides the perfect backdrop for some old-school fun. Blame Gloria has enjoyed a bigger transformation than Kylie Jenner, from being an underground public loo to a cocktail den. Despite it being a relatively new venue it’s already attracting big crowds, so get there early or book a table to ensure a seat.
WHY DO WE LOVE IT?
You may have seen friends posing on Instagram under the ‘well behaved women don’t make history’ pink neon sign at their sister bar Tonight Josephine. Blame Gloria doesn’t stray too far from the winning formula of over-thetop décor, decadent cocktails
(OK! recommends the Strawberry Fields) and cheesy tunes. The bar is inspired by a fictional character called Gloria, ‘an opulent nana with a groupie past’. The bar features retro TVS fitted with cameras, so you can feel like you’re in your own music video, and booths elaborately decorated with floral wallpaper. You’ll even find disco balls in the toilets and pictures of famous divas plastered all over the walls. We bet you never thought you’d have a wee while Cher, the Spice Girls and the Queen were watching on!
WHO GOES?
The lively interior meant that Laura Whitmore recently found herself posing for a fashion launch at Blame Gloria. Cara De La Hoyde, Nathan Massey and Gemma Collins have all enjoyed nights out at the sister bar.
WHAT ELSE?
There’s no need to leave the fun when you start to feel a bit peckish. The venue boasts an extensive bar menu put together by food legends Dip and Flip. Both meat and veggie burgers are on offer, as well as a variety of wings and sides. Make sure you look out for the daily happy hour so you can get two for one on the delicious cocktails.
