Two months after being dramatically hospitalised during her pregnancy, social media cleaning star Mrs Hinch is ‘over the moon’ after welcoming her first son Ronnie James George into the world last week. A source told OK! of the new mum, whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe: ‘Sophie, Jamie and the whole family are over the moon at the arrival of baby Ronnie, a little brother to their much-loved fur-baby Henry. They’re an official family of four now!’

They continued: ‘It had been at times a difficult pregnancy for Sophie with her hospital stay and simultaneous rise of fame, so to have him finally here and healthy is such a blessing. They are going to take some much-needed rest time at home with friends and family and enjoy this special time in their baby bubble.’

The newborn was welcomed into the world last Thursday weighing 6lb 1oz. Sophie, who has amassed a colossal fanbase thanks to her ingenious household cleaning tips, shared her happiness on her Instagram Stories. Addressing her 2.5 million followers, nicknamed ‘Hinchers’, the 29 year old said: ‘He’s here. We’ve never felt so in love.’

Her husband Jamie had already broken the news when he shared a cute image of their beloved son clutching hold of their fingers (above). Jamie wrote: ‘Yesterday, the 20th June 2019, at 4.11am, I watched my wife, the love of my life, bring our beautiful son, Ronnie James George Hinchliffe into the world, weighing in at 6lbs 1oz. I didn’t think I could love Soph any more than I already do, but I was so very wrong.’

Expressing his joy at his new son’s arrival, the besotted dad said: ‘Ronnie, our darling boy, we love you more than we ever knew possible,’ adding: ‘I will be spending today and the rest of my life caring for, looking after and protecting my beautiful wife and son.’

The couple share their Essex home with a cocker spaniel called Henry, who has his very own bedroom!

An official statement released by Sophie’s publicist confirmed: ‘Both mum and baby are doing well,’ adding: ‘Sophie thanks everyone for their well-wishes and kindness and asks everyone to respect their privacy at this very special time.’

Sophie’s ‘scary’ hospital dash took place in early April when the mum-to-be, thought to be just entering her third trimester of pregnancy, was rushed to A&E after falling sick.

Taking to her Instagram Stories as she updated her Hinchers from her hospital bed, she wrote: ‘Unfortunately I have been rushed to hospital. While our mini-hinch is being fully monitored and doing fine, unfortunately I am not well myself and I am in hospital now until further notice. I have wonderful doctors and nurses looking after me around the clock and Jamie is here being amazing bless him.’

Confiding her fears for her baby, she told her followers: ‘Can’t deny how scared I’m feeling inside right now.’

Sophie stayed in hospital for ten days and although she never revealed the specifics of her illness, she eventually returned home in good health. Reflecting on the scare, she told her fans: ‘The past ten days have been scary, emotional and very hard but I kept going remembering that there’s always someone out there struggling more than me. And I salute those people so so much! And the NHS staff are simply earth angels.’

She went on to say: ‘So... Baby Hinch is growing nicely kicking away and I couldn’t feel more blessed, yes I am following strict instructions and taking it slow because as a few of you that have read my book will know my health hasn’t always been my strongest point.’

Sophie was perhaps referring to an emergency operation she had aged 23 when a gastric band she’d had fitted two years previously had slipped and became wedged in her oesophagus.

Although she lost eight stone after having the band fitted, she has since expressed her regrets, saying: ‘If I had known the complications and risks, I wouldn’t have done it.’

Sophie also suffers from anxiety and says she used cleaning as a way to ‘steady’ her thoughts. ‘There’s no worse feeling than when you’re sitting there and you feel that heat in your chest and you start worrying and panicking for no reason, you don’t know why but you can’t get rid of it,’ the star explained.

We’re so glad that baby Hinch has arrived safely and is already bringing so much joy to his parents’ lives – and of course big brother Henry’s!
