While all eyes are on Harry Kane when he’s on the football pitch, his wedding day was a more private affair. The England captain and his childhood sweetheart Kate Goodland tied the knot last week in a secret beachside ceremony.
The 25 year old announced the news with a snap of himself and his new wife following their nuptials. He captioned the romantic shot (facing page): ‘Finally got to marry my Best Friend! I love you @kategoodersxx.’ In another shot, the new Mr and Mrs Kane share a kiss on a pier as Kate, 26, shows off her bouquet as she’s swept up in her husband’s arms (right).
The couple first met at secondary school and began dating as teenagers. They are
now parents to daughters Ivy, two, and Vivienne, who turns one in August.
While details of the low-key wedding have been kept under wraps, we can be almost certain the groom shed a tear! Harry previously joked: ‘I always wind my missus up that I’d cry if we won a trophy with England. And she said if I don’t cry when she walks down the aisle, she won’t go through with it!’
With Kate officially now Mrs Kane, we’re sure Harry let his emotions get the better of him!
Harry got down on one knee back in July 2017 on a family holiday to the Bahamas. During their trip, he and Kate visited the luxury Baker’s Bay Golf & Ocean Club. And although they’ve kept the paradise location of their big day a closely guarded secret, the exclusive members-only community would have been a natural choice of venue. The 585-acre property is set on six miles of white sandy beaches, and boasts its very own golf course.
