Summer isn’t an easy season to dress for – looking smart while keeping cool comes with a host of challenges. And as the weather heats up, so does our desperation to find pieces that work. In steps Holly Willoughby and her collaboration with Marks & Spencer, Holly Loves.
Like the majority of us, Holly works hard and needs to look sharp in the process, but with the added pressure of doing her shift live in front of millions of viewers, it’s no surprise that women are turning to her for fashion dos and don’ts.
As a busy mum to Harry, ten, Belle, eight, and Chester, four – who she shares with husband Dan Baldwin – Holly’s comfort plays a huge role in her outfit choices. ‘This collection is really wearable, they’re all pieces I would have in my own wardrobe,’ Holly tells OK!.
The 38-year-old presenter adds: ‘I think now that we’re on our fifth collection, we know there are things that work, and that the buyer really loves. What’s nice is that it’s a real summer capsule collection, everything ties in.’
And with that in mind, it begs the question, can these pieces translate for a holiday as well as the office? ‘Of course,’ Holly says, adding: ‘If you’re going to go away and you just want to shove a couple of bits in your bag, or dress bits up, everything intermingles quite nicely. The pieces are perfectly suited to mix and match; the palette is fresh and simple, and the cool linen and crisp cotton fabrics make dressing for those warmer summer days super easy, whatever the occasion.’
With a utility aesthetic as strong as this, alongside tonal separates and monochrome, you’d struggle to put a foot wrong with this latest edit. Happy summer!
