OUR COLUMNIST CELEBRATES HER ANNIVERSARY AND SYMPATHISES WITH AMY FROM ‘LOVE ISLAND’

-

Last Thursday was mine and Pete’s fourth anniversary so we went out for dinner at Nobu [below] because we both love sushi. It was so nice to spend the evening together. We bought each other some little bits and pieces, and of course a card each, which is the most important bit. Pete also shared some gorgeous images from our wedding day [below and bottom] – it’s so lovely to look back on the memories.

Earlier that day I went to the Tommy’s Awards at the Oxo Tower in London. The charity’s awards recognise families who have faced pregnancy complications or the loss of a baby from miscarriage, stillbirth or prematurity. It was such an amazing afternoon. Giovanna Fletcher hosted the event and she did a fabulous job. It was lovely to meet her and Frankie Bridge [right].

Amy Hart’s exit from Love Island was really emotional. I felt sorry for her and it’s good to hear she’s been getting psychological support. Some people have said she was overreacting, but she’s never been in a relationship before so it can be hard to deal with these issues for the first time, especially on national television. Others have questioned whether or not she should have been allowed on the show without having had a boyfriend before as Love Island is a psychologically demanding programme, but they obviously thought she was strong enough. I don’t think it’s a bad thing that she left – I say good on her for putting her mental health first. I don’t think Curtis did anything wrong as it’s always better to be honest. It would have been worse to string her along for months.
