FAMOUS FACES INCLUDING PIPPA MATTHEWS, EMILY ATACK AND ANT MCPARTLIN FLOCK TO CENTRE COURT
Stars from the world of Hollywood, music, fashion, TV and the royal family flocked to watch a very eventful Wimbledon in sunny south west London last week. Keen tennis fan Pippa Matthews arrived for day seven of the Championships with her brother James Middleton. Opting for a slightly more colourful approach to the Wimbledon whites look her sister the Duchess of Cambridge wore the previous week, she chose a pastel pink look instead. Her Stella Mccartney mini-dress was accessorised with faux leather mules by the designer, topped off by a coordinating hat by Luisa Kelsey.
The 35 year old, who gave birth to her son Arthur last October, used to play for the women’s team at the prestigious Queen’s Club in London.
Ant Mcpartlin looked pleased to see actress Emily Atack, as the pair posed backstage at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. Emily, who was runner up in I’m A Celebrity –Get Me Out Of Here! last year during Ant’s period of absence from the show, was wearing a pretty floral River Island dress.
However, it was his girlfriend Anne-marie Corbett who sat next to the Britain’s Got Talent host as he took a seat in the stands. Their day out marked Ant’s first official public appearance with Anne-marie. Although they’ve been pictured together throughout their 18 months of dating, it’s the first event they’ve attended as a couple.
The TV presenter looked happy and healthy as he sat alongside his former PA on Centre Court, his hand resting on her knee as they laughed and chatted together.
Later in the week, Ant’s on-screen presenting partner Declan Donnelly headed to the Championships with his wife Ali.
Zara and Mike Tindall enjoyed a day away from their daughters Mia, five, and Lena, one, as they sipped on Pimm’s and cuddled up on Centre Court. Looking gorgeous
in a Sport Max Code striped dress, the Queen’s granddaughter and her husband shunned the royal box to sit with Formula 1 racing driver Nico Rosberg and his wife Viviane Sibold.
David Beckham, however, did take a seat in the royal box as the doting son treated his mum Sandra to a day out in SW19 to watch Simona Halep overcome Elina Svitolina in her semifinal. Luther and The Affair actress Ruth Wilson served up some glamour in a striped Hellessy monochrome dress, adding colour with a red belt and matching lipstick and sunglasses.
Singer Ellie Goulding enjoyed a ‘daytime date’ with her art dealer fiancé Caspar Joplin, who she’s set to marry later this year, while TV host Melanie Sykes beamed during her first public appearance with German golfer Martin Kaymer, her partner of 18 months.
Supporting tennis champ Andy Murray was his glamorous wife Kim, who sparked speculation she’s expecting their third baby by wearing a maternity top by Isabella Oliver. The artist was careful to keep her bag and coat draped in front of her tummy but appeared to give a glimpse of a bump from the side.
Hollywood actress Sienna Miller covered up in a beige Ralph Lauren Collection double breasted trouser suit. The Layer Cake star got into the Wimbledon spirit by tucking into strawberries and cream as she sat court side.
Sophie Rundle, who plays Ann Walker in BBC One period drama Gentleman Jack, nailed summer chic in the evian VIP suite before heading to Centre Court, while Alexandra Burke used the tournament to make a statement – the unveiling of a new boyfriend. The singer brought along Hull City footballer Angus Macdonald as her plus one, just three weeks after splitting from her fiancé Josh Ginnelly, who she was with for three years.
As she nears her due date, pregnant star Myleene Klass rocked up with her boyfriend Simon Motson. Other big names included Game Of Thrones’ Maisie Williams and her boyfriend Reuben Selby, and Poldark beauty Eleanor Tomlinson.
Meanwhile, Made In Chelsea pals Binky Felstead and Spencer Matthews looked glamorous in matching blue and white outfits for their fun day out at the tournament.
