KYM MARSH’S OK! COLUMN

OUR COLUMNIST TALKS ABOUT SPENDING TIME WITH HER DAUGHTER AND GRANDSON, AND LOOKING FORWARD TO A HOLIDAY WITH BOYFRIEND SCOTT

-

Little Teddy isn’t so little any more – he looks like he’s smuggling eggs in those cheeks! My grandson’s three months old now, and last week Emilie and I took him and Polly to Velocity, an inflatable park in Manchester. I had cuddles with Teddy [below] while Pol exhausted herself bouncing around! It’s hard to find things to fill the days when the kids are on their summer holidays, but we had a great

time. Emilie and I also enjoyed a mother and daughter night out last Saturday [below]. Emilie was in need of a bit of mum time, as I’d been away with Polly in Disneyland Paris the weekend before, and Emilie and I haven’t really had much time on our own since Teddy was born. Ems is thriving as a mum but it’s nice to go out like old times! Scott’s been away in two different countries for his work, so I haven’t seen him for a couple of weeks. I miss him loads but I’ve had to accept that part of life as the girlfriend of a soldier is having to spend a lot of time having a relationship through your phone! Luckily, both of us have a chunk of time off in August, so we’re going to make the most of it and go on holiday. At the time of writing this, he’s due back home and I can’t wait to see him!

Congratulations to my former Corrie co-star Cath Tyldesley, who’s signed up to Strictly Come Dancing. I don’t know what her dancing ability is like but it’ll be great to see her in it. It’s a show I would potentially like to do at some point but I want to get some more acting work under my belt post-corrie first. But Cath’s done really well since she left Corrie, she’s starring in a new drama called Sisters X and looked fab in the pictures [right]!
