WE GET READY FOR The Great British Bake Off
‘THE GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF’ IS RETURNING SOON, BUT PAUL HOLLYWOOD FINDS HIMSELF IN HOT WATER
The return of The Great British Bake Off is always a highlight of our TV schedule. And the release of the official promotional shot for this year’s series has got us practically salivating for a slice of the action.
In the photo, the fab four are pictured at an Alice In Wonderland- themed tea party, with Noel Fielding in his element as The Mad Hatter, alongside co-host Sandi Toksvig and judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood. Paul shared the magical image on Instagram, captioning it: ‘Not long now to wait...’
The baker is sure to be hoping the new series will take the heat off his recent break-up with Summer Monteys-fullam.
Following the pair’s split when Summer reportedly refused to sign a non-disclosure agreement, events took another ugly turn last week. The 24 year old was threatening to sue Paul over claims she deliberately ‘courted’ media attention. Taking to Instagram, former barmaid Summer wrote: ‘I am very disappointed and distressed by false and highly defamatory statements Paul has made about me online since our break-up. I have had no alternative but to instruct my solicitors Brett Wilson LLP to pursue legal proceedings against Paul in order to obtain vindication.’
Following her statement, Summer was spotted looking downcast as she took her horse for ride in the Kent countryside. Meanwhile, a representative for Paul’s former wife Alexandra has claimed that Paul’s relationship with their 17-year-old son Josh has been extremely strained since their 2017 split and subsequent divorce.
Last year’s Bake Off saw Rahul Mandal crowned the winner. The engineering researcher beat stiff competition from Ruby Bhogal and Kim-joy, wowing the judges with an ‘edible landscape’ showstopper in the final.
‘THE GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF’ RETURNS TO CHANNEL 4 ON TUESDAY AUGUST 27 AT 8PM.
