ON WITH THE SHOW!

Rihanna was recently spied texting during a theatre performance of Slave Play, which some people took exception to. I’m due to star in Elf: The Musical soon and there is theatre etiquette! I do agree that you shouldn’t use your phone during a show unless it’s an emergency as it’s distracting for the actors and people around you. Having said that, I’d rather someone texted while I was on stage than do what a woman reportedly did during Tom Hiddleston’s play Betrayal. It’s been claimed that the woman was, well, let’s just say becoming far too aroused, while watching Tom on stage! Whatever happened to a simple standing ovation?! I remember Ricky Gervais saying someone was caught doing the same thing during a Ken Dodd performance! I mean, you can understand the Tom Hiddleston [above right] attraction a bit more than Ken Dodd [right], but still!
