THE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE
THE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE OPENS UP ABOUT BEING A MOTHER
ON THE PRESSURES OF MOTHERHOOD
The Duchess of Cambridge has admitted that, just like the rest of us, she can’t believe how fast her eldest child, Prince George, is growing up!
Kate shared her thoughts as she chatted with a group of mums and their little ones during an unannounced visit to the Family Nurse Partnership in south London. The initiative supports first-time parents under the age of 24.
Recalling their conversation, young mum Chloe Koroma, 23, revealed: ‘Kate said children grow up so quickly and she can’t believe that George is six already.’
Earlier this month, the young prince was seen looking very confident as he accompanied his four-yearold sister Charlotte on her first day of school, having celebrated his birthday on July 22 with his family on the private island of Mustique.
During last week’s visit to Sunshine House Children and Young People’s Health and Development Centre, Kate looked elegant in a polka dot shirt and black wide-leg trousers. The 37-year-old royal, who’s also mum to son Louis, one, learnt about a home-visiting programme that links parents with a family nurse. It’s run by the children’s hospital Evelina London, of which she is a patron.
Kate is passionate about her work with young people and set up the Early Years Initiative last year to champion the importance of giving children the best start in life.
