Former Eastenders star Kate Jarvis [who played Hayley Slater] now works as a security guard at B&M and it felt like she was being shamed when pictures were released of her working there [below]. Acting is a hard job and some people are lucky and get constant work, but most people don’t and you have to support yourself. Would people prefer out-of-work actors to go on the dole simply because they can’t find the right acting role? There’s nothing wrong with wanting to work in order to provide for yourself and your family, without having to live off benefits. We should be commending people like Kate and not slagging them off.
