With pictures of a new Wild West-themed jungle set just released and hosts Ant Mcpartlin and Declan Donnelly jetting out to Australia, excitement is building for the new series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! The ‘ghost town’ is thought to be the location of a new challenge. Cages, presumably teeming with jungle critters, and a murky pond filled with black water have also been spied.

Last year’s runner-up Emily Atack, 31, will be presenting the spin-off I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp with fellow former campmates Joel Dommett and Adam Thomas. ‘The jungle was the best therapy for me,’ Emily recently told OK!. ‘It taught me to see the magic in the world again.’

Here, Emily, who recently split from film producer boyfriend Rob Jowers, opens up about how the show changed her life, why her new role will keep her out of trouble and what she hasn’t missed about the jungle…

How excited are you to be returning to the jungle, Emily?

I couldn’t be more excited! The jungle has such positive energy for me because it changed my life. It makes so much sense for me to go back and make more amazing memories and learn even more about myself. I think that because I had such an amazing experience, it’s a home from home. I am nervous about the job itself, but I feel nothing but positive.

What have you missed most about the jungle?

The person it made me. I’ve missed that feeling of being so carefree and so loved and accepted.

There is nothing in there that can get you… apart from cockroaches and spiders! But they don’t mean any harm and they don’t know they’re scaring you! The world scares the s**t out of me! I’ve never been so at peace with myself as I was in the jungle. I’m lucky I got to experience that.

What haven’t you missed about being in the jungle?

Using the dunny [jungle toilet] and that smell! But the smell on the Tube on a Friday night is something similar.

Would you be up for doing the Bushtucker Trials again?

I won’t say absolutely not, but I’m not jumping for joy. I’m going to have nice clothes on, lovely little dresses and my hair and make-up will be done. We’re going to leave those to Adam [Thomas]. He can do them!

What will be your jungle essentials?

Mosquito spray, but I’m a light traveller. As long as I’ve got my passport, my make-up and a few nice clothes, I’ll be alright!

You worked with Joel on Singletown.

You must get on well! We get on so well! I think what’s great about us is there is zero sexual chemistry whatsoever. We’re like brother and sister – and that works! I think when there are a female and male host, people hope they flirt, but it’s the opposite with us! We take the mick out of each other and it’s pally.

We’re best pals!

Have you ever worked with your other co-host, Adam? No. But he is such a similar person. He has amazing energy and is so positive. We’ve been told that we need to get up early as we’re out live in the UK at 10pm, so the partying is going to be limited! But I’m up for it. My body and soul react well to these mad schedules because it’s so rewarding and it certainly keeps me out of trouble!
