GIRLS ALOUD’S NADINE COYLE ON GETTING TOGETHER WITH JESSE METCALFE

Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle is one of the stars taking part in this year’s I’m A Celeb…. No doubt her stint in the jungle will mark a fresh start for the 34 year old following her split from partner of 11 years, American football star Jason Bell, who is the father of her five-yearold daughter Anaiya.
Back in 2006, Nadine’s love life was also front page news as the then 21 year old was in a relationship with Hollywood heart-throb Jesse Metcalfe, then 27.
When OK! caught up with them 13 years ago, the pair were over the moon about their new relationship after meeting in a bar in Australia, and couldn’t keep their hands off each other.
‘I felt strongly about her pretty quickly,’ gushed Jesse, while Nadine cooed: ‘He’s really, really sweet.’
Nadine revealed Desperate Housewives star Jesse didn’t initially call her but sent her a bouquet – the old smoothie.
She then kept him waiting for her response, with Jesse telling OK!: ‘She was partying on some speedboat with god knows who? You weren’t thinking about me!’
They revealed their plans for how to deal with a long distance romance between LA and London, with Nadine worrying about the time difference but an optimistic Jesse saying they talked five times a day. He sweetly added: ‘I’d follow her anywhere.’
The couple had also discussed marriage and babies, with Jesse insisting: ‘I want to get married and have kids. Why not?’
But a year later, the pair suffered a shock split amid claims that Jesse had cheated. Nadine soon took him back but the romance ended for good in 2008 as sources claimed the pair were at different stages in their lives.
