ANT MCPARTLIN’S DIVORCE WOES
FORMER HUSBAND AND WIFE LISA ARMSTRONG AND ANT MCPARTLIN HEAD TO COURT
Divorce negotiations between Ant Mcpartlin and Lisa Armstrong are said to have turned bitter, with Lisa reportedly rejecting a multimillion pound settlement. A source told OK! that Lisa has been offered ‘more than half’ of Ant’s £62 million fortune, but the Strictly Come Dancing make-up artist is said to have rejected the offer in favour of going to court where things are set to become very public.
However, when one social media user asked Lisa: ‘How can £31 million not be enough for you?’ Lisa hit back: ‘Don’t believe the lies #justsaying.’ She added in another tweet: ‘I won’t be bullied.’
The insider tells us that Lisa has been left ‘upset’ that Ant has moved on so quickly with girlfriend Anne-marie Corbett, who is his former PA and Lisa’s former friend.
The couple, who confirmed their romance six months after Lisa and Ant split after 11 years of marriage in January 2018, were pictured enjoying a date in Australia last week as the 19th series of I’m A Celebrity...get Me Out Of Here! kicked off.
‘She was pretty upset that he moved on so quickly with his new partner, but at the same time he has a small circle of trust and there was someone there that he’s been able to rely on,’ the source told OK! Ant himself has said Anne-marie is his ‘rock’ and ‘the fundamental reason for the great change in my life’.
But with Ant making an eagerly anticipated return to the jungle alongside Declan Donnelly after being replaced by Holly Willoughby last series, his family is said to be worried about his divorce battle.
‘It would do Ant good to have another break and take time off, as they tend to go from project to project. But his thing is to get stuck into work. His family’s biggest worry is the pressure on Ant as he makes his return to the jungle,’ our source added.
In April 2018 Ant admitted drink driving and was fined £86,000. He spent a month in rehab for his painkiller addiction and alcohol problem.
