Millions tuned in to watch Ross Poldark (Aidan Turner) in the BBC drama set in 18th century Cornwall. The rugged coastline and wild seas, the heather-clad moors and derelict mines of England’s most south-westerly county took centre stage in the five series. Heartthrob Aidan raved about the landscapes, saying, “It was simply stunning, we filmed at so many gorgeous locations,” and “I love Cornwall – it’s glorious and so much the heart of this show.” Co-star Eleanor Tomlinson, who played flame-haired Demelza Poldark, said, “I enjoyed exploring all the different coves and beaches and the endless beautiful blue water.”
