Loose Women star Stacey Solomon reveals she’s expecting a fourth baby after a long journey to pregnancy
Stacey Solomon and fiancé Joe Swash’s beautiful family is set to grow. Last week the star announced she is pregnant with her fourth child after suffering a string of heartbreaking miscarriages.
The Loose Women star, 31, shared the news on social media, posing with Joe and her three sons as they proudly showed off the scan photo. “We are growing another pickle. We’ve never felt so grateful... I have no words,” Stacey wrote alongside the gorgeous snap. “We didn’t think we would get the chance. We love you all to the moon and back. Lots of love From Me, Joe, Harry, Zach, Leighton, Rex, and our little pickle.”
Stacey, who said she is due “towards the end of the year” got candid about dealing with miscarriages along the road to pregnancy. “We experienced it a few times in the last year and a bit and it’s such a sinking feeling,” she said.
The new baby will join the pair’s brood of boys. Stacey and Joe, who have been together since 2015, already share two-year-old son Rex. Stacey is also mum to Zachary, 13, and Leighton, nine, while Joe is dad to son Harry, 13, from a previous relationship.
Stacey told fans she couldn’t wait to find out if she was having a boy or a girl as she wants to “decorate the nursery with a theme”.
She also revealed that her boys can’t wait to be big brothers again. “So we told the boys and we’ve spent yesterday and today finishing the Wendy house, ready to welcome a new pickle into our lives. Boys we are so so so excited for you all.”
She added, “You’re already the most incredible brothers we ever could have imagined raising.”
The couple got engaged in December after Joe popped the question on a romantic walk. They were due to get married next month at their new home in Essex, but Stacey confirmed last week that the wedding would be pushed back “a few months”. She explained, “We’d be a bit gutted to look back at pictures and all of our babies weren’t there.”
Both Joe and Stacey have discussed wanting more children in the past. During an appearance on Dave Berry’s Dadpod podcast last November, Joe said he was feeling “broody”, adding, “I’m not going to lie. I think I might have one more in me, you know? I’m getting a little bit broody.”
Meanwhile, during a virtual tour of their new house, Stacey said they’d been saving a room in case they were lucky enough to have another child. “Next door is another spare bedroom so if we are ever lucky enough to have any more pickles then maybe this will be pickle number four’s bedroom.”
Now, the dream to expand their family has come true and Stacey has been thanking fans for their messages of support. “I’m sobbing reading your messages. Honestly, your messages and comments are just so beautiful. I thought I’d be more together tonight but it turns out I’m an emotional wreck,” Stacey shared
Joe, 39, also took to his Instagram Stories to thank fans for their support. “Thank you for all of your kind messages,” the former Dancing On Ice winner wrote. “I love Stace and our boys so much. I honestly can’t wait. I already love you so much little one…”
