OUR COLUMNIST ON HER UPCOMING SIXTH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND THEIR SUMMER PLANS
Pete and I recently went out for a lovely dinner, just the two of us. It’s such a rare occasion, I honestly couldn’t tell you the last time we went out with no kids! It was so nice to have a date night and relax, but we were home by 8.30pm! Our babysitter always laughs at us and says, “I love babysitting for you because you always get back so early. Most people are out until midnight.” But for us it’s perfect – we don’t drink or do late nights so being home by 8.30pm works!
In a couple of weeks, we will celebrate our sixth wedding anniversary. The time has flown by but they say time flies when you’re having fun! We’ll probably go out for a meal with the kids to celebrate because, as much as we love having date nights, we also love doing things as a family, too. It falls on a Sunday so it will be lovely to do something together.
We don’t have any more holidays or staycations planned for the summer as Pete will be starting the tour for Grease The Musical soon and will be working right through until November. There’s a busy few months ahead so I’m so glad we got away to Portugal when we did.
