pregnant princess beatrice led the way as famous faces gathered at wimbledon
Showbiz royalty mingled with actual royalty at this year’s Wimbledon Championships. With the tournament cancelled last year due to the coronavirus, we can’t blame all these famous faces for being keen to take in the tennis at the world famous competition. Princess Beatrice and her husband Edo Mapelli Mozzi took their place in Centre Court’s Royal Box on day 10 of the event. The 32-year-old, who is expecting her first baby in the autumn, looked radiant in a £340 puff-sleeved polka-dot dress from Self Portrait.
The pair were joined by Beatrice’s aunt, Sophie, Countess of Wessex. Sophie, 56, also opted for polka dots, and the trio watched world No.1 Ashleigh Barty and former champion Angelique Kerber battle it out for a place in the final.
A couple of days earlier, Zara and Mike Tindall decided not to sit in the Royal Box to watch the nail-biting men’s quarter-final and instead watched from the stands of Centre Court as
guests of luxury watch brand Rolex. Zara, 40 – who welcomed son Lucas back in March and already has daughters Mia, seven, and Lena, three, with Mike, 42 – was no doubt enjoying some child-free time.
Sienna Miller chose to wear the exact same striped Ralph Lauren shirt that the Duchess of
Sussex wore to Wimbledon in 2018. The 39-yearold looked radiant as she larked around with pal Poppy Delevingne.
Meanwhile, presenter Maya Jama, 26, appeared to confirm rumours linking her to NBA player Ben Simmons as she brought him along as her plus one.
Other famous faces in attendance included Love
Island host Laura Whitmore, 36, and Bafta-winning actor Benedict Cumberbatch, 44, who was joined by rapper Stormzy, 27.
Olly Murs, 37, was accompanied by his girlfriend Amelia Tank, and they posed for a picture with funnyman Jack Whitehall, 33, who sweetly brought his dad, Michael, along as his date.
Clearly not tired of one another after a morning of presenting on This Morning, Holly Willoughby, 40, and Phillip Schofield, 59, enjoyed an afternoon at the championships together, with Holly looking gorgeous in green.
And it seemed some couples used the tournament as a great excuse for a day date, no doubt filled with Pimms and strawberries and cream. Eddie Redmayne, 39, and his wife Hannah perfectly colour coordinated their outfits for the day. And singer Pixie Lott, 30, and fiancé Oliver Cheshire enjoyed the action at SW19, with Pixie looking lovely in a flirty mini dress.
Former Great British Bake Off judge Mary Berry, 86, looked glam in pink florals as she watched the action with her daughter Annabel. No doubt she was keen to judge the scones on offer at afternoon tea, too.
On day 11, David Beckham, 46, looked dapper in his cream suit as he watched the matches from the Royal Box. Also spotted at the event were Frank and Christine Lampard, who looked to be in high spirits as they posed for the cameras.
As OK! went to press, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, both 39, were planning to attend the women’s singles finals, while Kate was also due to watch all the action from the men’s final.
We’d say that’s game, set and match!
