Vincents up for grabs at Stafford

As we told you in last month’s OBM, the Stafford Classic Bike Show is now scheduled to take place on July 3-4 and one of the many attractions will be the Bonhams Motorcycle auction, for which lots are already being amassed. No doubt of great interest will be two collections which have already been consigned to the sale.

The first is billed as The Gentlemen’s Collection, a selection of restored VincentHRDs previously on display at the Lakeland Motor Museum, while the auction will also see the sale of some of the late Ron Cody’s large collection of Italian sports bikes.

The latter features some 48 motorcycles, including many MV Agustas, along with other Italian marques such as Gilera and Parilla. Interest is expected to be particularly keen in a matching numbers Vincent Black Shadow Series B which spent almost 40 years of its life in a dismantled condition in the

Isle of Man before being restored around ten years ago.

The Gentlemen’s Collection of restored Vincents will go under the hammer at the Stafford Show.

Offered in the Bonhams sale is this 1958 Parilla 175cc Sport with less than 38,000km on the clock.
