Still handsome 60 years on!

Thank you for publishing the adventures of my C11 in last month’s Readers' Tales.

Last year or so I contacted Jobbo, my friend, about a re-enactment of that photo which featured in the piece, some 60 years after the original was taken. I borrowed the same model and make of machines and got dressed as close as I could to how I appeared in the original image, decked with cheese cutter hat, goggles, etc, and found a suitable spot. We got some mates to position us and take the photo and we were very pleased with the outcome.

Both Jobbo and I are in our 80s and still hanging in there. Jobbo packed up biking a while ago, but I still ride and own old roadworthy bikes. Now I’m just waiting for a Covid-free future and I’ll be off riding!
