Looking for relatives

-

I’ve been an avid reader of OBM since 2008 and eagerly look forward to receiving it every month.

While sorting through old correspondence recently, I came across this photo of two riders in military uniform, both seated on Triumph Model H motorcycles.

It was inside a small folder titled ‘Supersize 35’ (mm) by Colorama.

On the inside someone had written ‘Rider on right (is) Reginald Tuck (grandfather of Michael Laslett). He was in 122 Field Company Royal Engineers.

Picture believed to be taken in 1918’. I don’t know the persons referred to in the caption, and cannot remember how I came by the photos, so it would be wonderful if someone among the OBM readership recognises them as their relatives. If so, I would be very happy to send them the photo.

I have done some preliminary digging and ascertained that the 122nd Field Company was attached to the 36th (Ulster) Division. In 1918 this divison took part in the battles of St Quentin, ‘First’ Somme 1918, Lys, and the ‘Final Advance’ in Flanders.
