TRITON

Paul Stanworth owns an ex-race Triton with a 1957 Norton Dominator frame and a Triumph Tiger 110 engine and gearbox. He knows it was raced in the 1950s and 1960s by a gentleman called Downing, who, Paul thinks, may have come from the Bristol area. The bike was registered as SUK 20F in 1968 after it had been laid up – it was 11 years old by then! Paul believes the bike was then owned by a man in Staffordshire and then passed to his mate, from whom Paul bought it. He is now trying to find out any history about the bike. He has the original blue racing fairings and says the bike was then run as a Triumph, not a Triton, but he doesn’t have any pictures of it as it was back then and would be delighted if anyone does have photos.
