Old Bike Mart

From a Cub to a Bond

-

Yet another fantastic edition, so many wonderful items, thank you. One thing that caught my eye especially was the item on the Bond minicar. A really lovely evocation of memories! Back in the 1950s I was happy on two wheels with one of my beloved Triumph solos – this time a Tiger Cub (UBY 632). I met a wonderful girl who eventually became my wife (nearly 60 years now) and she could not ride on the Triumph. So, I traded the Tiger Cub in for a lovely little Bond minicar, registration 565 FMG, and we nearly got run over by a Charrington’s coal lorry when we were out in it one day. The strange thing is I really cannot remember what happened to the Bond, I certainly wish I had it now! Keep up the lovely work you do for us with Old Bike Mart please!
