Causing a stir at Johnson’s

In 1961 when I was 19 years old, I bought a new Triumph Bonneville from Schweisos in Low Street, Dartford. I part-exchanged a Triumph Tiger 100 but, in those days, you only went to a motorcycle dealer if you needed anything. When you are 19 you do not need much so I never had reason to go back to Schweisos. But when I went to Johnson’s on the next weekend the Bonneville created a lot of interest. At the age of 79 I still ride and, at present, have a 1978 Yamaha XS650.
