Stay a little longer…

In OBM435 Geoff Davies must have the wrong mudguard stays for the Featherbed-framed Norton. Norton did not make differing length stays for their Featherbed mudguard, each mudguard stay was the same length, which is 11 and quarter inches from the centres of the bolt holes.

What I will say is that the mudguard on the front wheel of a Featherbed Norton is very close to the tyre. Further information can be gleaned from the Norton Owners Club website.
