American Pickers meet EJ Potter

Regarding the recent letter about EJ Potter, the Michigan Madman, viewers of the TV programme American Pickers may be aware that his bikes and a large amount of associated memorabilia were featured in an episode that is occasionally screened on various channels.

The owner was a friend of EJ’s who kept his eye on him until his death in 2012. Mike and Frank, the pickers, paid $45,000 for his two bikes, Bloody Mary and The Widowmaker, and all the memorabilia with the intention of finding them a home in a suitable museum.

It was a very interesting episode with original film of his antics and a mention of his accident at Santa Pod. EJ took up practically the whole show and it last aired on August 11, 2021. It’s worth looking out for repeats.
