Classic photographs of Jordans
I very much enjoyed your article on E10 petrol (the sweetcorn soup in our fuel tanks).
On a different note I have sent you a few photos taken by my late father, Harry Cartlidge. The photos are of Jordans Motorcycles, Hull, taken at a guess in the early 1960s, and of what could be one of the first Honda window displays in the city, the notice saying ‘Whichever way you look at it’ and a bike hung upside down. Brilliant!
Other photos are of inside the motorcycle and three-wheeler car showroom and the last shot is of the scooter showroom upstairs.
My father worked for Jordans, but in a different branch in Hull, Jordans Photographic, down Prospect Street where he worked for many years.
