Another ISDT machine for the Sammy Miller Museum
New to the Sammy Miller Museum is the 1970 Cheney Triumph ridden by Ken Heanes in the 1970 ISDT, the last machine Ken rode in the event and on which he won a Gold Medal. The Triumph has been kindly donated by Allen Davey and was originally the first of a batch of bikes constructed by Eric Cheney for the British team competing in the 1970 ISDT in Spain.
Sammy has already tested the bike – as you would expect for you can’t keep that man off a motorcycle – and reports that it performs well and rides beautifully. The Triumph joins other ISDT machines in the ever-expanding collection and the museum has plans to create a dedicated ISDT section.
