Silverstone hails first sale of 2022 at ExCeL
Silverstone Motorcycle Auctions will be opening its motorcycle season with a live auction at the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show at ExCeL on February 12, 2022. It’s the first time that the auction house has held a sale at the show and marks a new partnership that will see Silverstone conducting a live sale at the event for years to come. More than 100 classic, vintage and modern motorcycles will be included in the sale and will be available to view at the show and online. We at OBM had the opportunity to see first-hand how Silverstone works when attending its motorcycle sale at the Classic Motor Show in November and we were suitably impressed by the knowledge and enthusiasm of specialist motorcycle consigner, Dan
Lovis, seen here on the left with Silverstone’s classic motorcycle expert Mark Bryan and a 1936 Brough Superior SS80 that will be offered in the ExCeL sale. Silverstone founder Nick
Whale says: “We’re delighted to announce this exciting, longterm partnership with the Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show. Holding a live auction at the event is a great way to kick off the season and we look forward to offering a superb catalogue of motorcycles. Our growing motorcycle division is a fantastic addition to the Silverstone Auctions Group and following the brilliant results at our recent NEC sale we are rapidly becoming the first choice for motorcycle sales.”
