Royal Enfield Owners Club Autojumble

-

It is with a huge sigh of relief that we are seeing the return of autojumbles (online auction sites are all very well but nothing beats a good rummage in a cardboard box, followed by a cheery haggle and then taking your new purchases home straight away) and we are pleased to announce that the Home Counties branch of the Royal Enfield Owners Club will be holding its autojumble this year.

It all takes place on April 23 at Yardley Gobion Village Hall in Yardley Gobion, Northamptonshire, just off the A5 north of Milton Keynes and not far from the well-known Super Sausage Café and junction 15 of the M1. It opens to the public at 10am and entry is £3 per person. There’s plenty of nearby parking and the Coffee Pot Tavern next door will be serving drinks and hot meals, while tea, coffee and cake will be available in the village hall.

Although it’s being run by the Royal Enfield Owners Club, there will be motorcycle spares, items and paraphernalia for any make or nationality on sale, not to mention tools, clothing and literature. The autojumble is a charity event with all profits in aid of the mental health charity Mind to commemorate late branch member Dave Baldwin.

If you want a pitch – perhaps you’ve finally sorted out all that stuff in your shed! – then it’s £5 per table in the hall and £10 for an outside van-sized pitch and your stallholder fee also provides you with two entry wristbands. Stand set-up is from 8am and you can contact Mark at trials59@yahoo.co.uk for bookings and further information. He reports that stall bookings are going fast already so make that call!
