A gold star for the Gold Star

I expect you have had loads of Gold Star purists with negative comments pointing out the lack of heritage should ban the model name being used.

I’m not a Goldie fan but I think that if you have gone to the extent of buying a brand you should be at liberty to reuse a model name.

Is it a Gold Star? Well, it is unable to have a direct link with the British BSA version but I seem to remember the last Gold Star had a closer lineage with the Triumph Terrier. The 250 BSA C15 version went all the way to 450cc. There was something familiar about the Rotax engine. Wasn’t the earlier version used in the Brooklands Motorcycle? Peter Rogers Feltham, Middlesex
