Old Bike Mart

Did the Duncan get there first?

- Sammy Miller MBE, New Milton, Hampshire

It’s always great to receive Old Bike Mart. It’s very good reading, well done!

Regarding the Swinging Arm Suspension Debate, we can better all your readers with our 1920 Duncan which has a swinging arm suspension with air-controlled dampers unit. It is very similar to the Velocette Mk8 which was introduced in 1939.

The Duncan motorcycle was made at Brooklands and on a recent refurbishment on site, the Duncan workshop signs were found in their original positions! We have a complete folder full to bursting with photos and info, some of which are attached.
