Capturing early TZs on film!
I really enjoyed Pete Kelly’s feature in last month’s OBM which mentioned the Yamaha TZ750. During the early 1970s l just about lived at Croft Autodrome
(as it was known then), either helping Geoff Johnson with his bikes and marshalling or pursuing my other passion, photography.
What better place to be than at a racing circuit with a good 35mm camera and some rolls of fast 400 ASA Tri-X monochrome film?
It didn’t take long for the TZ to make its Croft debut in the hands of riders like Phil Gurner.
Great days and great memories.
