Living in a fuel’s paradise

I was looking at the article Motor Cycle’s Final Makeover by Pete Kelly in May’s OBM. If you look at the great picture of John Ebbrell on what looks like an Ian Kennedy Triton, you will notice the price on the petrol pump. He has filled the tank with, I think, 20 shillings and eight pence worth … just over £1 for four gallons. A sign of the times.
