Weise Gator Jeans

One of the things that we consider to be a major improvement in motorcycling riding gear has been the introduction of denim jeans designed with safety in mind. Especially as the weather gets warmer (trust us, it will – probably!), struggling into leather jeans and then sweltering all day while wrapped in cow doesn’t fill us with joy. So we welcome Weise’s new Gator jeans which are are made from high quality 440gsm denim, with a traditional fit and semi-bootcut, for a good fit over riding footwear. Mesh lining adds to the denim’s natural breathability, so they are comfortable to wear, whether sitting outside the pub having a refreshing lemonade or out on the open road.

More importantly, Gator jeans are rated AAA for protections, which is the highest level under the current CE standard for motorcycle clothing. Protection is provided by an abrasion-resistant, 250gsm aramid fibre lining, plus removable CE approved armour at the knees and hips. In addition, all the main seams are double-stitched for strength and durability.

Gator jeans are also cut high on the waist (although, fortunately, not Simon Cowell high) to prevent a gap between jeans and jacket when sitting on a motorcycle and there are wide loops on the waist for chunky belts.
