Watsonian and Harley-Davidson

-

Harley-Davidson may not have offered a factory sidecar combination since 2011, but Watsonian has kept the faith, offering chairs for Milwaukee’s favourite. It’s a wise move because, as Watsonian managing director Ben Matthews told us, Harley has been one of the top three choices of the company’s customers for the last 20 years (the other two, in case you haven’t guessed, are Triumph and Royal Enfield).

This is the latest outfit to roll out of Watsonian’s Cotswolds factory, with an Electra Glide Ultra Classic introduced to a GP700 chair in what looks like it will be a long and happy marriage.

Designed for long distance touring comfort, the Ultra Classic is the perfect partner for the Watsonian GP700, with its wide bench seat, generous legroom and deep screen. The lockable boot provides additional luggage space and somewhere to store helmets, sandwiches, etc, securely when parked.

As standard the sidecar comes with a black gelcoat finish, but custom-match painting, as shown here, is available as an optional extra. Customers can also choose between a classic 16-inch spoke wheel or a 10-inch cast alloy hoop.

Made in the UK to order, prices for the GP700 start at £6895 and the Electra Glide fitting kit sells for £575.
