AJS 16C/ Matchless G3C replica frames
Classic Motorcycle Frames Ltd can now offer replicas of the original 1958-65
AJS 16C/Matchless G3C frame, manufactured from high grade, cold drawn seamless tube steel. The proprietor, Peter Davis, wanted to build an AJS 16C replica of Gordon Jackson’s Scottish Six Days Trial winner to add to his collection of AMC classics but discovered that they were no longer available. The only option was for Classic Motorcycle Frames to manufacture a frame itself.
The chaps sourced an original frame and then transferred all the dimensions to a stateof-the-art digital jig to produce a replica frame to the finest engineering tolerances. To accompany the frame diamond, it is also offering the rear sub frame and swinging arm, both an accurate replica of the original factory items.
At this time the company is concentrating on this AMC frame but hopes to be in a position to offer frames for the 1955-1957 G3LC (rigid frame) and Ariel HT5 frame before the end of the year. For more information and prices, go to the website www.classicmotorcycleframes.com
