More on Olga’s Norton

With reference to the article on Olga Kevelos in OBM447, the Manx Norton was a 500T trials and according to the author was actually purchased from Cope’s on hire purchase.

Olga soon became well-known in the results of motorcycling events, so much so that she was offered a works machine. The Norton featured in Colin Turbett’s biography of Olga called ‘Playing with the Boys’, hence the tongue-in-cheek title. I purchased my copy of the book from the author.

Colin Turbett’s biography of Olga Kevelos is currently out of print but there is a chance that Colin will be doing another reprint of the book. We will keep you posted.
