YOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Sicily

Fly to Catania and transfer to your hotel near Agrigento where you will stay for three nights. Day 2: Valley of the Temples

Enjoy a guided tour of these ancient Greek Doric-style temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its fascinating museum. Day 3: Palermo and Monreale

Explore the capital, Palermo, and its historic centre, followed by a guided tour of Monreale Cathedral, renowned for its medieval mosaics. Day 4: Piazza Armerina & Taormina Head to the small town of Piazza Armerina, where you will enjoy a guided tour of a Roman villa, before continuing to your next hotel in either Taormina or Giardini Naxos. Day 5: Taormina

Your day is free to explore this pretty hillside town – don’t miss the ancient Greek theatre, or the chance to go shopping for fresh pasta, olives, wines and the local speciality, marsala. Day 6: Siracusa

You will be driven to one of ancient Greece’s wealthiest cities and the birthplace of the mathematician and engineer Archimedes. Day 7: Mount Etna

Journey close to the snow-capped summit of Mount Etna, Europe’s highest volcano. Weather permitting, you may wish to take the cable car higher for even greater views. Day 8: Return flight

Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
