With the majority of its workforce being female, Brussels Airlines was among a number of airlines worldwide which marked International Women's Day with flights operated by allwomen crew. Women work across every department including HR, marketing, ground operations, aircraft maintenance, cabin crew and support services. Some 10% of the carrier's pilots are women, compared with the global airline average of just over 3%. From April 1 the airline also has a female ceo. Christina Foerster is the first ever woman to lead a Lufthansa Group airline.
