Travel planning platform Rome2rio has identified the world's cheapest airlines in a new Global Flight Pricing report. Covering 200 airlines, the average cost per km across the full list rose from 17.75 US cents in 2016 to 18.8 US cents in 2018. Some 24 of the 30 cheapest international airlines are based in Asia or the Middle East with AirAsia X top, at US$0.07 per km, and Air India Express and Indonesia AirAsia both next cheapest at US$0.08 per km. @rome2rio
