Hannah finalist at red carpet event
WEST Lancashire College are delighted to congratulate Hannah Fairclough on being nominated and selected as a finalist at the recent British Education Awards, red carpet event in Convent Garden, London.
The event was the first of its kind and honours students from across the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland for exemplary academic and extracurricular achievement.
Hannah, former Burscough Priory High School Pupil, was nominated for the Vocational Category for her focus and determination during her Public Services BTEC National Diploma Level 3 programme at West Lancashire College.
Hannah joined the course part-way through the academic year and with the support of the college and her course tutors she has excelled on the programme.
Hannah’s motivation, outstanding competence levels to her studies has resulted in her being on target to achieve D* D* D* this September with a view to progress to the University of Nottingham to study a BA in Criminology.
Mike Cooney, the public services tutor, said: “We are extremely proud of Hannah for this fabulous achievement, she has worked so hard and deserves this recognition – well done Hannah!”
